HS ICE HOCKEY: Ocean Township Downs Toms River South 8-3

Rob Feathers scored three goals in a five-minute stretch of the second period Thursday to lead the Ocean Township High School hockey team to an 8-3 win over visiting Toms River South.

Rick Napoli gave the Indians a 1-0 lead early in the first period, but the Spartans then scored seven unanswered goals to make the score 7-1 with 10:40 remaining in the game. Michael Jacoby and Dillon Simeon scored for Toms River South within twenty seconds of each other in the third period, but Michael Nordstrom scored the final goal of the game with 6:00 left in the period to make the final score 8-3.

Henry Cioffi had two goals and an assist and goalie Brian Harlow made 17 saves for Ocean Township.
