HS WRESTLING: Jackson Memorial Tops Brick Township 33-19

The fourth-seeded Jackson Memorial High School wrestling team earned three technical falls and a pin on its way to a 33-19 win over visiting 13th-seeded Brick Township in the pre-quarterfinal round of the Shore Conference Tournament on Thursday.

Austin Ostrander pinned Liam Poland at 285 pounds for the Jaguars, who got technical fall wins from Jay Epperly, Matt McGowen and Michael Spino. Jackson Memorial also won four decisions.

Joe Ferigne won a 14-6 major decision over Cartsen Digiantomasso at 106 pounds for the Green Dragons, who also won five matches by decision.
