HS WRESTLING: Toms River South Defeats Middletown South 45-24

The 14th-seeded Toms River South High School wrestling team had five pins on its way to a 45-24 win over 19th-seeded Middletown South in the preliminary round of the Shore Conference Tournament at Wall High School on Thursday.

Riley Cheong, Nicholas Gallicchio, Owen McClave, Cole Corrigan and Teddy Suarez had pins for the Indians. Zach Martin won by forfeit at 120 pounds and Toms River South won three matches by decision.

Sean Killeen, Steve Walling and Alex Asfar had pins for the Eagles, who also won two matches by decision.
