HS WRESTLING: Christian Brothers Academy Tops Jackson Memorial 32-31

The top-seeded Christian Brothers Academy wrestling team had two pins and two major decisions Saturday on its way to a 32-31 win over fourth-seeded Jackson Memorial in the semifinal round of the Shore Conference Tournament at Red Bank Regional High School.

Sebastian Rivera and Garrett Fitzgerald had pins for the Colts. Nick Schutzenhofer won a 12-4 major decision over Cartsen Digiantomasso at 106 pounds and Richie Koehler won a 9-1 major decision over Brandon Burkert at 113 pounds for Christian Brothers Academy. The Colts also won four matches by decision.

Michael Spino and Tanner Kelly had pins for the Jaguars. Tim Hamann won a 9-1 major decision over Ben Kuhn at 145 pounds and Larry Richardson won a 5-2 decision over Cameron Digiorgio at 182 pounds for Jackson Memorial. The Jaguars also won two matches by forfeit after the Colts had clinched the team victory.

Christian Brothers Academy went on to defeat Howell in the Shore Conference Tournament final, 34-28.
