HS WRESTLING: Jackson Memorial Defeats Colts Neck 39-24

The top-seeded Jackson Memorial High School wrestling team had three pins, a technical fall and a major decision on its way to a 39-24 win over visiting Colts Neck in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA Group 4 Central Tournament on Wednesday.

Matt McGowen, Justin Martin-Culet and Adante Davis had pins for the Jaguars. Tanner Kelly won a 17-0 technical fall over Michael Jannucci at 182 pounds and Tim Hamann won a 13-4 major decision over Liam Hoagland at 145 pounds for Jackson Memorial. The Jaguars also won four matches by decision.

Joseph King, Steven Kramer and Steven Barsky had pins for the fifth-seeded Cougars, who also won two matches by decision.

Jackson Memorial will face second-seeded Long Branch in the Group 4 Central finals on Friday.
