HS WRESTLING: Four Titles for Toms River South at District 24 tournament

The Toms River South High School wrestling team won four weight-class titles, Toms River East won two and Toms River north won one at the NJSIAA District 24 Tournament at Pine Belt Arena on Saturday.

Owen McClave, Cole Corrigan, Zach Martin and Nicholas Gallicchio won championships for the Indians. McClave earned his fourth district title by winning a 13-6 decision over Gianni Bennett of Southern Regional in the final round at 132 pounds. Martin won a 4-2 decision over Anthony Datello of Lacey at 120 pounds, Gallicchio won a 6-5 decision over Christopher Rodriguez of Manchester at 126 pounds and Corrigan won a 9-3 decision over Mike Racanelli of Southern Regional at 138 pounds to earn their titles.

Kelly Conklin pinned Blaine Pisano of Central Regional at 220 pounds and AJ Meyers won a 7-0 decision over Matt Garrity of Lacey at 152 pounds to win their weight classes for the Raiders.

Freshman Nick Reilly won an 11-10 decision over Luke Moynihan of Lacey at 113 pounds to earn the only title of the day for the Mariners.

Conor Panzarella and Sal DiSalvo of Donovan Catholic finished second at 145 pounds and 195 pounds, respectively. Mike DeGennaro of Toms River North finished second at 170 pounds.
