HS GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hirschy Scores 18 as Donovan Catholic Tops Southern Regional

Alyssa Hirschy scored 18 points Monday to lead the visiting Donovan Catholic High School girls basketball team to a 46-43 win over Southern Regional.

The Griffins held a 23-16 lead at halftime before the Rams used a strong third quarter to take a three-point lead entering the fourth. But Donovan Catholic outscored Southern Regional 14-8 in the final quarter to seal the victory.

Kaitlyn Borghesi scored 13 points and Molly Collins added seven for the Griffins.

Bianca Nicolini led the Rams with 13 points. Gabriella Muraczewski added eight points and eight rebounds for Southern Regional.
