Salem Hill Road Closures through March 4 for Drainage Work

HOWELL – Salem Hill Road in Howell Township will be closed to traffic from Feb. 28 through March 4 for underground drainage pipe replacement across both sides of the road, near the Route 9 intersection.

Eastbound traffic on the road is scheduled to be reopened by March 1, weather permitting. Westbound traffic could be closed until March 4. Detours will be posted.

The closure will help reconstruct the third turning lane on Salem Hill Road to Route 9 South. Motorists are advised to pay attention to the new traffic pattern at this intersection because it is different than what it has been for the past 30 years.
