District 18 Road to Williamsport Little League World Series Down to Final Four

TOMS RIVER-The Toms River Little League All-Stars (5-1) defeated Brick Little League 8-3 in Berkeley while the previously undefeated Holbrook All-Stars (5-1) lost a 7-6 game to Manchester Little League in the first round of the double elimination tournament that will eventually decide the District 18 champion.

The winner of the tournament will advance to the New Jersey section 3 tournament and that winner will represent New Jersey in the 2017 Little League World Series Eastern Regional Tournament.

Holbrook Little League dominated pool opponents, outscoring their competition 75-7 in their first 5 games.

On Friday, Brick Little League will play Holbrook in the loser bracket game, while Toms River will play Manchester in the winners bracket game.  The winner of the Manchester Toms River game will advance to the district 18 championship.   The loser of the Holbrook-Brick game will be eliminated from the tournament.

This year’s championship tournament will be held at the Toms River Little League complex.
