BRICK-A politically bizarre turn of events occurred this week at the Brick Township School Board when the “Clean Slate” Democrats who control the board voted to appoint a law firm with deep roots in New Jersey politics.
The board awarded a professionals services legal contract to Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt, and Fader.
Former New Jersey Governor Jim Florio is the founding partner of the firm and current New Jersey State GOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt is a partner in the firm.
Florio’s firm was appointed to represent the taxpayers in future teacher contract negotiations a rate of $145 per hour.
