Mariners Bowling Team Finishes Season with 41-13 Record

The Toms River North girls bowling team has simply been dominant this season. The Mariners finished the regular season with a 41-13 record and a third-place finish in a competitive Class A South division. North captured four tournament titles (Kickoff Classic, Brick Tournament, Ocean County Challenge, and Shore Conference Team Championships). Coach Jeff Gelnaw credits the Shore Conference championship to a total team effort in winning the title. Paige Peters, Gianna Daniels, Kennedy Pfeifer, Livia Spalluto and Kameren Peters bowled well as a team in the preliminary round propelling them into the top 4. The day was capped off with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Brick Township in the final round. Cassidy Syrdale and MacKenzie Dudas missed the Shore Conference Championships but contributed throughout the season for the Mariners. North will compete in the South Jersey Group IV State Sectional Championship February 10th.
