Boat Fire Reported in Wall

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at approximately 9:33 a.m., the Wall Township Police Department responded to the 2600 State Highway 70 for an active fire of an abandon boat. The fire was quickly extinguished by the South Wall Fire Department. The on scene investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was a live electrical wire. The slow lane of State Highway 70 eastbound was closed for approximately 90 minutes during this investigation. Jersey Central Power and Light, Wall Township Police EMS and Wall Fire Bureau all responded to the scene.
