Neptune City Power Outages Expected to Last Until 4pm This Afternoon

NEPTUNE-During the overnight shift a pole was struck by a vehicle, which resulted in a power outage, in areas of Neptune City. The pole has been replaced and JCP&L is working to restore power. JCP&L expects power to be restored by 3:00-4:00pm today (7/26/18).

However, even when the power is restored, the area roads will still be shut down until the work to the pole (transferring wires) is complete.

At this time and until further notice W Sylvania Ave between Bennett Ave and Hawthorne Ave IS shut down to ALL traffic. Surrounding roads are also detoured and residents on side roads should expect increased traffic.

As a precaution, until power is restored – please check on your elderly neighbors.
