Local PGA Professional Captures NJ Senior PGA Title

Brent Studer, PGA Director of Golf at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, NJ captured first place at the New Jersey Senior PGA Professional Championship, which took place at Navesink Country Club in Middletown, NJ from July 31-August 2. The 53-year-old 2017 NJPGA Hall of Fame Inductee blitzed the field winning by 8 strokes, finishing with a 36-hole total 9-under par 135. This is Studer’s first senior major win and is also the largest margin victory since the 2010 New Jersey Senior PGA Professional Championship.

Studer’s victory earns him a spot at the Senior PGA Professional Championship in Port St. Lucie, Florida October 25-28, 2018, where the top 35 finishers will qualify for the Kitchen Aid Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY from May 21-26, 2019. Studer resides in Manasquan.
