Run For the Fallen Honors Post 9-11 War Heroes

The NJ Run for the Fallen passed through Berkeley Township on Saturday, September 30th.

Councilman John Bacchione, Councilman Keith Buscio, 82nd Airborne, Vietnam Veteran & Council President James Byrnes And I met the runners at the Central Regional Fallen Heroes Memorial to present a Proclamation.

Joanne Trust, a dedicated volunteer for the NJ Run for the Fallen says that the organization is a team of military runners from Joint Base MDL and other locations throughout the U.S. who come together to honor every NJ service member who has died since 9/11.

The runners begin their almost 200+ mile journey in Cape May and end in Holmdel, at the Vietnam Memorial Museum.

I had the honor to address the crowd and thank the runners on behalf of the Township, for their dedication as they pay respect to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
