Toms River Police Officers Pay it Forward

TOMS RIVER-In 2012, after Hurricane Sandy ravaged coastal communities along the Jersey Shore, help poured in from around the country to support local law enforcement efforts.  This week, the Toms River Police Department was able to pay it forward.

Officer Adam Koeppen organized a care package which was sent the Willington Police Department in North Carolina.  The care package included Toms River Police Department blankets and Home Depot gift cards.

“When we are able to pay it forward we do our best to seize the opportunity,” the department said in a statement.
