Tiki Barber Kicks Off Pantene’s “Care Beyond Hair Tour” at ShopRite of Middletown

ShopRite is partnering again this year with Pantene® for its Care Beyond Hair Tour, exclusively at ShopRite, to donate hair and raise money for Locks of Love, which provides custom-made hairpieces for children suffering from long-term hair loss. From Sept. 30 through Nov. 18, the Care Beyond Hair Tour will make stops at 40 ShopRite stores in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, offering people the chance to donate their locks to help children in need.

On Sunday, Sept. 30, Campaign Ambassador Tiki Barber kicked off the Pantene Care Beyond Hair Tour at the ShopRite of Middletown, Rt. 35 and Harmony Road, Middletown, NJ. The former NFL running back and CBS sports commentator, who has talked in the past about his mother’s battle with breast cancer, visited the store and met with people who took a break from shopping to get a haircut.

More pop-up styling stations will appear at ShopRite stores over the next two months as part of the Care Beyond Hair Tour. Each in-store station will feature an on-site person to cut hair– Locks of Love typically needs about 10 inches of hair for each cut– and donated hair will be used to create real-hair wigs and pieces for children who have lost hair due to treatments for cancer and other medical-related conditions. For every hair donation, Pantene will also pledge an additional $50 to Locks of Love, up to $11,000.
