Police: After OD’ing on Heroin, Woman Refuses Medical Assistance at Liquor Store

JACKSON, NJ-Last Friday, Jackson Police Officer Tristan Bennett along with First Aid responded to Wine O Land located on Jackson Mills Road on the report of a female suffering from an overdose. A 34 year old female, who was initially reported to be unresponsive but was now awake, was treated at the scene by First Aid and refused further treatment or transport to a hospital. Hypodermic syringes and several small wax paper folds containing suspected heroin were seized for destruction. No charges are pending due to the Overdose Prevention Act.
