Police: Two cars stolen from driveway, both were unlocked with keys inside

JACKSON,NJ-On December 30th, Jackson Police Officer Brian Baranyay responded to a residence located on Cobain Road on the report that 2 vehicles had been stolen from the caller. It was reported that the victim’s 2019 GMC SUV and 2017 Kia had been stolen from the driveway. It was also reported that both vehicles were left unlocked with the keys left in the center consoles. Through Onstar, the GMC was recovered in Hillside and impounded for further investigation. A video camera at the residence captured some video of a suspect which appeared to match a suspect observed on camera at on Tuscany Drive as two hooded and unidentified subjects went onto the property and one entered an unsecured vehicle there.
