K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital Welcomes New Pediatric Neurology Chief, Jan B. Wollack, M.D.

Hackensack Meridian Health K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, located at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, recently welcomed Jan B. Wollack, M.D., PhD, as Chief of Pediatric Neurology. The children’s hospital is part of Hackensack Meridian Health Children’s Health service. Dr. Wollack is board certified in Child Neurology and Pediatrics. He joins the academic medical center from Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H., where he served as Section Chief, Pediatric Neurology.

“Dr. Wollack enhances our already considerable expertise and available services in treating children with neurological conditions, including in the areas of Neurosurgery, epilepsy and our dedicated pediatric intensive care unit,” said Harpreet Pall, M.D., MBA, CPE, chair of Pediatrics, Jersey Shore University Medical Center. “We look forward to his leadership as we focus on delivering the best care and experience for our patients.”

Dr. Wollack received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Yale University, graduating cum laude. He achieved his Medical Doctorate at Columbia University, N.Y., College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he also achieved his PhD at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He completed his postgraduate training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at Babies Hospital and The Neurological Institute of New York, respectively, at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, N.Y.

Dr. Wollack has more than 30 years of experience caring for children with neurological conditions, is a longtime clinical educator and has served as an assistant professor at Columbia University and the University of Maryland, M.D. Most recently, he served as an associate professor of Neurology at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, N.H., and associate professor, Pediatrics and Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, N.J.

Dr. Wollack has received multiple top doctor recognitions from New Hampshire Magazine, Castle Connolly and New York Magazine. He specializes in developmental delays, epilepsy, headaches and migraines, motor impairment, movement disorders and Tourette’s syndrome. Dr. Wollack is accepting new patients.
