LANGHORNE, PA – Police are searching for a couple that assaulted a teenage park employee at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. According to police, on Sunday, a 17-year-old worker, working Captain Cookie’s High C’s Adventure ride reminded the couple of the park’s policy on face masks, they remembered his face. Later in the day, when the couple passed that employee, they both struck the teenager in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Police said guards in the park chased the couple, but they got away. Now, police in Middletown are working with law enforcement officials in New York to positively identify the couple who are suspected to be in their 20’s or 30’s based on a license plate number captured at the scene. Sesame Place remains closed until Thursday after the incident.
“The health and safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, and violence of any kind is unacceptable and not tolerated at our park. We are cooperating with local law enforcement on this ongoing investigation,” the park said.
The teen was treated at St. Mary’s Medical Center for injuries to his jaw and a broken tooth. Representatives said the boy required surgery for his severe injuries.
