Murphy Administration, County Officials Moving to Shut Down Defiant Lakeside Diner

FORKED RIVER, NJ – The Lakeside Diner has been serving indoor dining to customers since June and according to the silence on the matter by local and state health officials, not a single person associated with the diner or diners themselves have contracted COVID-19 for doing so.

Now, the Murphy administration is working with Ocean County health officials to shut the restaurant down.  The diner has been cited five times for violating Murphy’s executive order banning eating food inside restaurants and serving customers.  This week, they have been fined twice.  New Jersey State Police Superintendent Patrick Callahan said the Department of Health has also issued the restaurant an order to close.

Now he said state officials are working with county officials to enforce the Governor’s executive order.

The faces in this photo of the Lakeside Diner have been blurred to protect the innocent.
