Lakewood Students, Staff Test Positive for COVID-19

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Just over one week after Lakewood’s public school district opened up, some students and staff members are under COVID-19 quarantine.   An email sent to parents in the district on Friday alerted the community that a staff member who did not have direct contact with students had tested positive.  Another staff member’s spouse tested positive and those employees are now working from home.     A student who tested positive was also quarantined along with a couple of other students they had come in contact with, but as a precaution, the entire class was quarantined.  The district did not say which schools were affected.
