Elk Grove Police Helicopter Search Finds Stolen Vehicle

ELK GROVE, CA- If you heard a helicopter last night in the area of Bond Road and Elk Grove Florin Road, you weren’t dreaming.  At 10 pm, police deployed a helicopter to locate a stolen vehicle.
“We received a Lojack notification of a reported stolen vehicle in the area of Elk Grove Florin Road and Silverberry Avenue,” the Elk Grove Police Department said. “Officers responded, along with the assistance of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office air unit (STAR) and located the reported stolen vehicle in the area of Bond Road and Elk Grove Florin Road. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and detained the occupants in the vehicle.”
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was also found in the driver’s, later identified as 44-year-old Christina Caravella, property. A record check revealed Caravella had an active warrant out for her arrest. A search of one of the passengers, later identified as 47-year-old Kenneth Robinson, led to the discovery of fake identification cards, fictitious checks, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested on various charges and then transported to the main jail.
