Another illegally owned gun murder in Camden County

CAMDEN, NJ – According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, a Blackwood man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a man on the 1100 block of S. Black Horse Pike in Blackwood, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins.
Jose L. Rios Jr., 19, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and one count of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Police responded to the area shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec. 3 for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Mark
Dodaro, 36, of Blackwood, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. During an investigation, detectives located surveillance footage that captured the incident. Witnesses identified Rios as the shooter.  Rios was located in Washington Township on Dec. 4 and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division.
He was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a detention hearing.
