Atlantic City man charged for murder

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On December 12, 2020, a man wanted for his involvement in an August shooting was arrested.   Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos arrested Andre Alexander without incident in the first block of south Texas Avenue. Alexander was wanted for shooting a man on August 3, 2020.

On August 3 at 4:31 pm, patrol officers responded to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, in reference to a man walking in with a gunshot wound. The victim, 22, of Philadelphia, PA, sustained a non-life threatening injury. The victim was shot during an altercation in the 3100 block of Pacific Avenue.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led to the charges against Alexander.

ARRESTED: Andre Alexander, 35, of Vineland, NJ.

CHARGES: Aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain person not to possess a weapon.
Alexander was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
