13-year-old arrested for two shootings, one murder in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A 13-year-old boy has been charged with murder in Baltimore today.  The boy attempted to rob the two men engaged in a drug deal and shot both men, police say.

According to police, on December 15. 2020, officers arrested a 13-year-old male for the murder of 40-year-old Chad Michael Jordan of Jefferson, PA. Additionally, the juvenile was charged with the attempted murder of a 26 year-old male also wounded during the incident.

 

On December 11, 2020,, Southern District officers were dispatched to investigate a “Shot Spotter” alert for gunfire. While canvassing the area, officers came upon Chad Michael Jordan in the 1800 block of Cole Street. Jordan was subsequently pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The non-fatal shooting victim was discovered in the 1800 block of Eagle Street.

“Through the course of their investigation, detectives learned that the victims were in the area to purchase illegal drugs,” the department said. “The 13-year-old attempted to rob the victims at gunpoint. During the attempted robbery, the suspect shot both men. Homicide investigators were able to identify the 13-year-old suspect and arrest him for murder.”

The name of the teen was not released by police.
