Roadside domestic disturbance lands man in jail for battery, drugs

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL – A man who was involved in a roadside disturbance has been arrested by police. While investigating a Domestic Disturbance that originated inside a vehicle and carried over into the roadway, in the area of Commercial Way and Northcliffe Boulevard, deputies located over 20 grams of marijuana, various items of drug paraphernalia, and a handgun that had been reported as “lost” to the Temple Terrace PD.

While being taken into custody, the male suspect became combative and kicked two deputies.
The male was placed under arrest and charged as follows:

– Domestic Battery
– Possession of Marijuana over 20 Grams
– Possession of Paraphernalia
– Resisting Arrest with Violence (2 counts).

The suspect was delivered to the Hernando County Detention Center. The deputies were not injured.
