Berlin police find mystery man looking into woman’s window

BERLIN, NJ – A report of a man looking through a woman’s window, posted on a community Facebook turned out to be a homeless man looking for assistance for a train fare, police said.

On Friday, residents of Berlin were altered to the suspicious man on the What’s Up West Berlin Facebook page.

“Earlier today a resident of Berlin Boro posted a message to the What’s up West Berlin Facebook page in reference to an incident of a male looking in her windows,” police said after investigating. “Officers from Berlin Boro Police Department did make contact with said homeless male and confirmed that he was knocking door to door seeking financial assistance to take a train back to Atlantic City.”

Police ended up helping the man and placed him on the next train back to Atlantic City.
