Santa Fe man found dead, shot in his apartment

SANTA FE, NM – A Santa Fe man was found dead in his apartment and police are saying he was shot.  A homicide investigation is now ongoing.

On January 9, 2021, the Santa Fe Police Department is seeking information regarding the homicide of Mr. Frank Pete.
On January 8, 2021, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Santa Fe Regional Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call of shots fired at the Las Palomas Apartment Complex, located at 2001 Hopewell Street. Shortly after, a second call was received reporting a male had been shot. Santa Fe Police Officers arrived on scene minutes later and located the victim, 50-year-old Frank
Pete of Arizona, in an apartment at the location.
Officers rendered first aid, however Mr. Pete eventually succumbed to his injuries. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are actively investigating the incident.
