Kern County Sheriffs have busy night

BAKERSFIELD, CA – On Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:15 p.m., Deputies responded to Blue Oaks Avenue in Tehachapi regarding a criminal threats investigation. Deputies quickly discovered a domestic dispute had taken place. Upon arrival, Deputies detained the suspect and located the victim in a safe place. Bomb squad technicians responded and rendered the location safe. The suspect was arrested for criminal threats.

At 6:41 p.m., Deputies responded to Lincoln Avenue for a report of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, Deputies located a male adult who said he was shot at by unknown suspects. The victim was not struck by gunfire and no one was injured.

At 9:24 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to Laura Court for a victim of an assault. Deputies discovered a group of adult males were involved in a verbal argument with another group of adult males, which led to a physical fight. During the fight, one of the adult males was struck on the head with a hammer, sustaining minor injuries.

At 11:49 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to a business on Wible Road for a victim of a stabbing. When Deputies arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound. The victim reported he was attempting to break up a fight when he was stabbed by an unknown person. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
