Newport News Man Arrested for Being Inside Capitol Building During Uprising Wearing “Camp Auschwitz” Shirt

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – A Newport News man has been charged for entering the U.S. Capitol building last Wednesday, seen wearing a “Camp Auschwitz” shirt.  Auschwitz was a concentration camp run by Nazi Germany during World War II.  Over one million Jews were executed there. Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Union.

Robert Keith Packer was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Packer was arrested today in Virginia.  Packer was being held in Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
