HAMBURG, NY – There is terrible news coming out of Hamburg this morning. The Hamburg Police Department said two children and one adult have perished in a house fire. The Town of Hamburg Police Department along with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential fire that occurred at 4740 Newton Road.At approximately 2:22 AM multiple fire companies and police responded to the residence and found extensive smoke and fire. Two victims were located outside of the house and were transported to ECMC where they are being treated for their injuries. Fire crews located an adult female and two children deceased inside the residence. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
