Gunshots fill the air in Baltimore as two taken to hospitals for gunshot wounds on Saturday

BALTIMORE, MD – On Saturday, at approximately 11:23 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue for a shot spotter alert. Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a shooting had occurred but found no victim.

A short time later, officers received a call for a shooting victim who had just walked into a hospital seeking treatment. Officers responded and located a 26 year-old male who had been shot in the stomach. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Western District Shooting detectives are investigating this shooting and are asking anyone with information about this shooting to call (410) 396-2477 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

Later, at approximately 1:45 p.m., were dispatched to Lexington Street and Kossuth Avenue for discharging. Upon arrival, officers located a 29 year-old male who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his left wrist. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
