15-year-old stabbed to death at Lake Charles grocery store by 13-year-old

LAKE CHARLES, LA – Last night at approximately 7:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a grocery store on Highway 14 in Lake Charles in reference to a stabbing.
The initial investigation revealed there was a fight between several young girls inside the store, at which time a 15 year old was stabbed. The victim was later pronounced dead.

CPSO detectives searched for the suspect, Regan Broussard, 13, Lake Charles, in reference to the homicide. Broussard was found by police a short time later. Next of kin has not been notified so the victim’s name has not been released. The Calcasieu Coroner will determine cause of death.
