Man shot in field in Tacoma listed in critical condition

TACOMA, WA – At 9:03 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021, Tacoma Fire responded to a male down in a field calling for help on Freeman Road, South of Valley Ave in Puyallup. When they arrived on the scene they discovered he had several gunshot wounds.

Fife police officers, Edgewood deputies, and our Central Patrol deputies responded priority to assist fire. They contacted the victim and set up containment in the area in case the suspect was still on the scene.

The 25-year-old male victim was able to tell deputies the suspects left in a car before he was immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Detectives and forensic investigators have been called out to assist with processing the scene for evidence.
