Police investigating Camden shooting murder

Camden, N.J. – Detectives are investigating the Thursday night killing of a Sicklerville man, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Browning St. in Camden for a ShotSpotter activation around 9 p.m. on Jan. 28. When they arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground between two cars suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as Santino Thomas, 28, of Sicklerville, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m.

Detectives are currently working to identify any potential witnesses and searching for evidence that could help determine what led up to the shooting.
