Congressman who had both COVID-19 vaccination shots tests positive for COVID-19

BOSTON, MA – U.S Congressman Stephen Lynch, of Massachusetts, has tested positive for COVID-19.   Lynch said he is not experiencing any symptoms of the virus, but the congressman has already received both COVID-19 vaccine shots.

Lynch, 65, issued a press release about his ordeal.

“Congressman Lynch received a positive test result for COVID-19 after a staff member in the Congressman’s Boston office had tested positive earlier in the week,” according to the statement. “Congressman Lynch had received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and subsequently received a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending President Biden’s Inauguration. While Mr. Lynch remains asymptomatic and feels fine, he will self-quarantine and will vote by proxy in Congress.”
