10,000th COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Administered at Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center administered its 10,000 dose of COVID-19 vaccine February 2 to 83-year-old Elisa Friel of Ocean Township. The academic medical center received its first doses December 17 and has provided the vaccine to CDC and New Jersey Department of Health designated team members, physicians, first responders, and eligible New Jersey residents.

Elisa’s son Bernard discussed his experience with his mother receiving her first dose at Jersey Shore, “we had a very positive experience, from the helpful valet parking assistant to the nurse administering the shot. The staff at the medical center was very helpful and considerate. The whole operation is being run very smoothly.”
