Man caught impersonating police officer

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – A man with long dreadlocks and drunk was banging on a door of a home in Stafford County yelling, “Open up! Police!”

Luckily, the homeowner wasn’t buying it because the man banging on the door was not a police officer, but Aboubakar Bamba and he had a gun in his car.

Stafford County Police reported:

On Friday February 5th at 1:20 a.m. Deputy S.C Jett responded to Wythe Court for a suspicious male crouching around vehicles and knocking on a residence door. He located Aboubakar Bamba, 25, of Dumfries in the area. Bamba had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

A Glock 17 handgun was located under a car where Bamba had been seen crouching. Furthermore, a witness reported Bamba was yelling,

“Open up! Police!” while banging on a residence door.

Bamba was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and impersonating a law enforcement officer. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,000 secured bond.
