Columbus woman sitting in her dining room struck by gunfire

COLUMBUS, OH- A woman who lives on Apple Street in Columbus reported to police that she was sitting at her dining room table at approximately 1:37 am Sunday morning when she was struck by a bullet from outside of her home.  The victim told police several shots were heard before she was struck in the arm.  There were no other witnesses to the event and the suspect vehicle fled before the victim could see it. Police ask anyone in the neighborhood who might have information in this shooting to call 1-614-461-TIPS. It is not known whether the gunfire was random shooting or if she was the intended target. Police are investigating.
