Delaware Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Newark

NEWARK, DE  – A man was killed early Sunday morning after midnight in a single-vehicle crash on Old Country Road in Newark.

The Delaware State Police reported that on Sunday, March 14th, 2021 at 0010 hrs, officers from New Castle County Division of Police were notified of a single vehicle crash that occurred in the 2700 block of Old County Rd.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a 2006 Honda Pilot had veered off the road and lost control. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.


Investigators from the New Castle County Division of Police Traffic Services Unit were notified and tasked with this investigation.
