Tractor-trailer carrying natural gas caught fire, shutting down turnpike near Port St. Lucie

Port St. Lucie, Fl – Last night a portion of the Florida Turnpike was closed due to a truck fire. Traffic was temporarily diverted off Becker Road in Port St Lucie. The truck was transporting natural gas, but firefighters from the St. Lucie Fire District quickly contained and extinguished the fire.
