30 year Jacksonville Police Veteran Retires

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Captain Devon Bryan retired from the Jacksonville Police Department with 30 years of service. Devon began his law enforcement career at JPD in 1993, earning his way up to the rank of Captain

.He has served in the Patrol, Street Crimes Unit, Community Services, Special Operations, Criminal Investigations, Internal Affairs and Training and Standards Divisions.

Captain Bryan is a Certified Instructor in Firearms, Subject Control, Physical Fitness, TASER, Red Man Simulator; In-Custody Death Instructor.

He is a long-time member of JPD’s Tactical Team. He is a three-time recipient of the agency’s Police Commendation Medal. He also served as JPD’s armorer.
