Alachua School Resource Deputies Shave Heads after losing a friendly wager

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A man’s word is a man’s word and for that, they had to shave their heads.

Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. is happy to report that the Hidden Oak Elementary School’s PTA exceeded their goal of raising more $30,000 to benefit the students and teachers in a variety of ways.

“One of the conditions of the fundraiser was if the PTA raised the money, Deputy Jack Miller had to have his head and beard shaved! Deputy Cary Gallop is pictured below doing the honors,” Sheriff Watson said. “We gratefully extend a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who contributed to make this event a success!”
