Mud Hen Brewing announces Wildwood racing weekend

WILWOOD, NJ – What do you get when you combine world-class running with DelMoSports and world-class craft beer with MudHen Brewing Co.? It’s the MudHen Brewing Co. Race Series Presented by Inspira Health! Join us for a weekend of running at the shore!

Weekend of events are as follows:


Friday, April 16 from 4-7 p.m.: IPA 5K (3.1 miles). This event will start and finish at the ‘WILDWOODS’ sign on the Wildwoods Boardwalk at Rio Grande Avenue. The 5K athletes will receive a timed event, race bib, finisher medal, trucker hat and a free beer voucher to be redeemed at MudHen Brewing Company.

Saturday, April 17 from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.: 10 Miler and 5 Miler events will start and finish in Sunrise Park in Wildwood Crest. 10 Miler and 5 Miler athletes will receive a timed event, race bib, finisher medal, cozy t-shirt and a free beer voucher to be redeemed at MudHen Brewing Co. 


Another day of running has been added on Sunday, April 18 from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.: 10 Miler and 5 Miler.  This event will start and finish at Sunrise Park in Wildwood Crest. 10 Miler and 5 Miler athletes will receive a timed event, race bib, finisher medal, cozy t-shirt and a free beer voucher to be redeemed at MudHen Brewing Co.

These courses are flat and fast with a combination of closed roads, boardwalk, bike paths and sea wall as you blast through the sights, sounds and smells of the boardwalk and ocean. This is a great fit for newbies, and experienced runners alike.

Are you ready to race but not ready to race in person yet? We have just the solution for you! Complete the event virtually with the NEW DelMoSports Mobile App powered by Cape May County Tourism anytime between April 16-18! Due to COVID-19 protocols, this event will feature a controlled wave start with 40 athletes starting every 10 minutes for Friday’s 5K and 20 athletes starting every 10 minutes for Saturday and Sunday’s events. Start times are selected when you register online. First come, first serve.
