One suspect charged for weekend murder in Portland

A death investigation in the Old Town Neighborhood is being investigated as a homicide. Homicide Detectives booked Anthony M. Millner, Jr., 30, of Portland, into the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Murder in the Second Degree.

On Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:15p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a death investigation call at an apartment in the 0 block of Northwest 2nd Avenue. When they arrived they located a deceased adult male. Their preliminary investigation suggesting that the death was a homicide and one person has been detained.

The victim’s name, and cause and manner of death will be released after an autopsy has verified his identity and next-of-kin has been notified.
