Teen charged for shooting, killing his uncle during family argument

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – On Monday, a 17-year-old old shot and killed his uncle during an argument in St. Petersburg.

Police said shortly after 7 a.m., relatives got into an argument at their home at 4114 Fairfield Avenue South. Keyshawn Smiley, age 17, shot his cousin, Ronald Gary, age 40, several times.

Gary died from his injuries and police charged Smiley with 1st degree murder.
