Beachgoers watch as Plane Crashed into Ocean During Cocoa Beach Air Show

COCOA BEACH, FL – A plane made a crash landing in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Florida during the Cocoa Beach Air Show. The plane, according to the show’s Facebook page experienced a mechanical failure that forced the water landing. The pilot was uninjured.

“The TBM Avenger performing in the warbird parade had a mechanical issue and the pilot was able to bring the plane down close to the shore. Rescue personnel were immediately on scene and the pilot is okay,” the Cocoa Beach Air Show said in a statement.
