$440,000 lottery ticket sold at Hagerstown Sheetz

Pile of money.

A Williamsport resident who tried his luck with a FAST PLAY Diamond Mine game unearthed a true gem of a jackpot win. The 42-old-year won a $440,092 prize on a ticket he bought at Sheetz in Hagerstown.

The lucky Washington County resident matched a winning number to claim the second Diamond Mine progressive jackpot.

The $20 game, which went on sale in January and is one of 18 FAST PLAY games available, features a progressive jackpot that grows with each ticket sold. The first progressive jackpot grew for more than two months until an Annapolis resident calling herself “Progressive Prospector” bought the winning ticket and won $922,143.

The Diamond Mine ticket features prizes ranging from $20 to $10,000 and the progressive jackpot, which starts at $250,000. This game has 13 progressive jackpots remaining for players to win.

For selling a progressive-jackpot-winning ticket, Sheetz #464 located at 191 Eastern Boulevard North in Washington County earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
